02/09 : Thor HUshovd (Nor-Cer) was the fastest in Murcia of an elite-group at the end of stage five in the Vuelta. In the sprint the Norwegian champion showed being faster then Daniele Bennati (Ita-Liq). Grega Bole (Slo-Lam) crossed the finish in this only 151km long stage as third. Allan Davis (Aus-Ast) had to be happy with a fourth stageplace while fromer Italian champion Filippo Pozatto (Ita-Kat) sprinted himself towards place five. Philippe Gilbert (Bel-Olo) who was classified as sixth today remains the lead in the overallranking and becomes leader in the sprintersranking aswell. Top 25

02/09: Stage three in the Holland Ladies Tour ended in a sprint and it was former worldchampion Marianne Vos (Ned-Nbl) who was the fastest. After a third place in stage one, Kirsten Wild (Ned-Cer) took place two today. Giorgia Bronzini (Ita-Gau) crossed the finishlinein Gieten as third while the Swedish champion Emma Johansson (Swe-Red) rounded the 107km as fourth. Denise Zuckermandel (Ger) ended the stage as fifth. Martine Bras (Ned-Gau) remains the lead in the overallranking.

01/09 : Tyler Farrar (Usa-Gar) triomphated as fastest of the bunch at the end of stage five in the Vuelta. After almost 200km of racing in the Spanish heat he was faster then Koldo Fernandez (Spa-Esu). Mark Cavendish (Gbr-Htc) who launched the sprint from too far had to be pleased with a third place in Lorca. Wouter Weylandt (Bel-Qst) crossed the finsihline as fourth while Alessandro Petacchi (Ita-Lam) completed the sprinters top five. Philippe Gilbert (Bel-Olo) will start tomorrow again in the leadersjersey. Top 25

01/09: In a sprint with three it was Martine Bras (Ned-Gau) who took the win in the second stage of the Holland Ladies Tour. In Leende she sprinted faster then Valentina Bastianelli (Ita-Fas). Janneke Ensing (Ned-Dol) crossed the finishline after 107km as third. Shelly Odds (Usa) took the sprintwin of the bunch at 34" of the winner and stranded on place four. Chloe Hosking (Usa-Htc) completed the stage top five. Martine Bras (Ned-Gau) becomes also the new leader in the GC.

31/08 : Igor Anton (Spa-Eus) took the win in the fourth stage in the Vuelta. On the uphillfinish in Valdepenas de Jean he was faster then Vincenzo Nibali (Ita-Liq). Peter Velits (Svk-Htc) rounded the 183,8km long stage as third. Yesterdays second Joaquin Rodriguez (Spa-Kat) had to be happy with a fourth place today. Philippe Gilbert (Bel-Olo) took place five at 5" of the winner but still remains the red leadersjersey and leader in the overallranking. Top 25

31/08 : In the massive sprint at the end of stage one of the Holland Ladies Tour is was Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Ger-Htc) who was the fastest of the whole bunch. Marianne Vos (Ned-Nbl) crossed the finishline in Gerwen as second while Kirsten Wild (Ned-Cer) rounded the 112km as third. Giorgia Bronzono (Ita-Gau) had to be happy with a fourth spot. Shelley Odds (Usa) completed the sprinters top five. Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Ger-Htc) will start as leader in the second stage tomorrow.

30/08 : Philippe Gilbert (Bel-Olo) took the win at the end of stage three in the Vuelta a Espana. In a very steep uphill finish he escaped with 600m to go to cross the finishline in Malaga with 3" bonus on Joaquin Rodriguez (Sap-Kat). Igor Anton (Spa-Eus) lost as third 13" while Vincenzo Nibali (Ita-Liq) crossed the finishline after 157,3km as fourth at 15" of the Belgian specialist. Grega Bole (Slo-Lam) completed the stage top five. Due to the win and bonifications Philippe Gilbert (Bel-Olo) becomes also the new leader in the overallranking. Top 25

29/08 : Yauheni Hutarovich (Blr-Fdj) surprised a lot of people winning the second stafe in the VUelta in a massive sprint. In Marbella the Belarusian was faster then favirto Mark Cavendish (Gbr-Htc) who remains the lead in the overallranking. Tyler Farrar (Usa-Gar) crossed the finsihline after 174km as third. Double Tourstagewinner Alessandro Petacchi (Ita-Lam) had to be pleased with a fourth spot today. Manuel Cardoso (Por-Fos) completed the sprinters top five. Top 25

29/08 : For the second time in a week Evelyn Arys (Bel-Llt) took a victory in a national race. Today the young Belgian rider was the fastest in a massive sprint in Erwetegem (Nat). Lensy Debboudt (Bel-Kre) had to be happy with a second place while Else Belmans (Bel-Val) crossed the finsihline as third after 12 laps. More later. Top 10

28/08 : HTC-Columbia (Usa) was the fastest team in the opening teamtimetrail in the Vuelta a Espana. Over the 13km long track in Sevilla the team was 10" faster then Liquigas (Ita). The race started only at 22.00PM. Team Saxo (Den) was the third fastest team in the eveninigstreets with still a temperature of 35 degrees. Team Cervélo which stops at the end of the season clocked the fourth best chrono. Team Lampre (Ita) completed the top five. Mark Cavendish (Gbr-Htc) who crossed the finish as first of his team is the first owner of the red leadersjersey. Top 25
